Pakistan Plane Crash Kills All Aboard
[ No survivors as Pakistan plane crash kills 152 ] - An airliner has crashed near the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, killing all 152 people on board. The plane, a domestic flight from Karachi operated by the private company Airblue, came down in hills just north of the city as it was about to land. There is no word on the cause of the crash. At the time the area was shrouded in fog. Pakistani TV showed images of smouldering wreckage on a foggy hillside, with helicopters overhead. Imtiaz Elahi, chairman of the Capital Development Authority, which deals with emergencies, said the crash was "heartbreaking". Police spokesman Govindsamy Mariemuthoo said the grandchildren were returning to their Johannesburg home following the family birthday party on Monday when two gunmen approached their car. They ordered the occupants to lie down near the entrance to the home of Mandela's daughter, Zindzi. One fired a shot and the family driver returned fire. Burundi Most Corrupt in East Africa
[ Burundi most corrupt - survey ] - A survey by an anti-corruption watchdog says Burundi is the most corrupt country in East Africa. Transparency International released findings on Thursday about bribery in public and private institutions. Rwanda was found to be the least corrupt among the five countries in the region.
