Nigerian Bank Manager Killed by Gunmen Masterweb News Desk ( Monday, May 11, 2009 ) - Send Comments - To  Masterweb "Ogbuagu's car was not taken by the assailants, raising the suspicion that it may have been an assassination." Masked gunmen on motorcycles, Thursday evening shortly after 6.00 pm trailed Udoka Ogbuagu, Manager, United Bank of Africa( UBA ), Umuahia Factory branch, killing him along Igbere Street. Ogbuago was driving home from work in his official Toyota Corolla car in company of a relative who was visiting home from London, when suddenly they were forced to stop by the gunmen. Volley of shots were fired on Ogbuagu by the gunmen leaving him in a pool of blood as his relative fled the scene. Residents claimed hearing up to ten shots and some even found empty bullet shells in their yards. Ogbuagu's car was not taken by the assailants, raising the suspicion that it may have been an assassination. The deceased hails from Ubakala in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State. He had just resumed duties at the bank after his annual vacation in London before his murder. Ogbuagu's body has since been deposited at The Federal Medical Centre( FMC ), Umuahia, while police conduct investigations into the killing.
