Chinyere Ochuba is most beautiful girl in Nigeria

Contestants from Abia, Abuja, Taraba, Bayelsa, and Anambra, made it to the top five. Miss Chinyere Iwuchukwu representing Abia was the first runner-up, while Miss Onyekachi Okereke representing Taraba State emerged the second runner-up.
Other awards for the evening included, best cultural costume, which went to Miss Jennifer Baje, representing Kogi State; Miss photogenic and Most friendly awards went to Ngozi Eboru(Delta State) and Olesengbua Samuel-Etai(Edo State) respectively.
Ochuba responding to a question on her selection as the new Nigerian Queen, said: "I never thought I would win that was why I could not hold back my tears. I am so grateful to God and my family and those who believed in me. If there is anytime I need their prayer most, I think it is this period." Chinyere Ochuba will take home about N1 million as cash prize.
Ochuba will represent Nigeria at the next Miss World beauty pageant and may attempt to succeed the current queen, Nigerian Agbani Darego.
Miss Chinenye Ochuba, an 18-year-old, representing Anambra State, was crowned the new Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (M.G.B.N.) on Saturday in the 15th edition of the peagant. She beat 21 other contestants in the three-hour contest held at the Meridien Eko Hotel, Lagos, to emerge winner.
Tears of joy flowed freely from her eyes as she was crowned the new Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria.
The contest witnessed a full house, even though the cost of ticket was N5000 per person.
The criteria used by the judges in the selection included, shoulders, hips, neck, arms, legs, heels, bossom, back, knees and calves of contestants.
Shoulders to be wider than the hips and should stop at about a 20-degree angle from the tip of the shoulder to the neck; the neck to be graceful enough to act as a pedestal to the head; the arms to flow along the sides adding to the frame of the body; the legs to fuse at the hips, knees and calves; and the heels to join with a little space separating the legs. The head including hair style to be the crowning glory of the body. The line of the arms to be full, but not accentuated and well built with the height. The bosom to be well-proportioned and not accentuated and well-built with the height; and the back to be well-proportioned, flat, no lateral curves.
Other criteria considered by the judges included facial beauty, figure, poise, personality and intelligence.
