APGA Okays Chief Emeka Ojukwu

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), yesterday approved former Biafran leader Chief Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, the party’s consensus presidential candidate. Chief Ojukwu will be presented for ratification at the special convention of the party holding at the Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Garki, Abuja, today. The ratification of the former Biafran general, sources in the party yesterday lamented was to complete the triumvirate of generals contesting the presidential elections from the three main ethnic groups in the country. Generals Olusegun Obasanjo, yoruba, from the SW and Muhammadu Buhari, hausa, from the North, were nominated as the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) respectively earlier this week.
