AAUW Black History Month Program

The 2006 AAUW NYC Branch Black History Program (co-sponsored with community-based organizations) highlights the Civil Rights Movement by paying tribute to Rosa Parks. It also reflects another Civil Rights icon, Malcolm X, who said, "Just as a tree without roots is dead, a people without history or cultural roots becomes a dead people.”
